Javier Castro, President and Founder

Javier has over fifteen years of real estate development and business leadership experience. He manages the day to day operations of the company since its inception.
Prior to founding Westline, Javier led a real estate partnership that developed and managed properties. Also, Javier led the formation and launch of a US subsidiary to a multinational Spanish manufacturer of natural stone products. During the five year period he was involved, Javier initiated the launch of a US sales force as well as the establishment of two distribution points. The entire company inclusive of the US operation was successfully sold in 2006 to a European private equity firm. Shortly thereafter, Javier returned to commercial real estate founding Westline.
Prior to those business ventures, Javier was a real estate development manager with the John Akridge Companies in Washington, DC. Javier spent three years with Akridge after having earned his MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Javier also holds a BS in Accountancy from Villanova University.
Mark Fletcher, Principal
Mark has in excess of 18-years experience working in commercial construction and real estate development. Having started initially working for construction companies in his home country of England Mark was exposed to the numerous facets of the business at an early age including, but not limited to, project and financial management with overall P&L responsibility for those projects. Upon completing his MBA studies in 2000 Mr. Fletcher moved to the US to continue his career. He has worked on several construction and development projects in the Metro Washington DC area, most notably as a Senior Project Manager for George Washington University on new developments including a new $63M hall of residence and a $27M campus expansion. In addition Mr. Fletcher was a member of the development team for Gallery Place, 1.5 million square foot mixed-use project located over an existing Metro station in downtown Washington DC.
More recently Mark was Vice-President of DC Operations for Trinity Group Construction, a Virginia-based commercial general contractor with revenue in region of $70M (2007). In this role he was tasked with starting and developing a new DC office for the company, including business development, project management for key clients, recruitment of staff and project managers and overall profit & loss for this new division.
Subsequent to him leaving this role Mark has provided construction project management services to a wide variety of clients involving both base building and interior fit-out projects while at the same time pursuing development opportunities in North & South Carolina.
Mr. Fletcher holds a BSc Construction Management and Business Engineering (First Class) from the University of Leeds (England) and an MBA from University of Nottingham (England).
Kent Tunell, Broker
Mr. Tunell has over five years of brokerage management experience, and brokerage office licensing and insurance expertise. Mr. Tunell is a graduate from George Mason University, having attained a BS in Business Administration.
Prior to entering the real estate field, Mr. Tunell held senior administrative positions with firms such as CSC, Verizon, and Xerox.
